from the archives
As I approach my ‘freedom day’ from my foray back into the matrix, I am engaging in the usual anticipation-filled daydreams about all the fun, enjoyable and/or self-improving things I’ll be able to do when I get there (as opposed to just crash into some kind of post-traumatic syndrome) First, less time spent in front of a computer screen (‘I wish I’d spent more time on online forums’ said nobody on their death bed ever); Second, make sure that I manage to live below the tax threshold, so that I can avoid being extorted by the government whilst not risking being thrown in a cage on account of it – and I’m pretty close to that threshold now simply on account of my activities over the summer, so that means a lot of free time, basically. I plan to do more walking, more being outside, ‘in nature’, and more reading books printed on actual paper, rather than mediated through ‘the black mirror.’ But what to read? - In spite of having bookshelves loaded up with ‘conspiracy theory’ books – ie, books which tell the truth about the awfulness of the world, Whitney Webb, and Joseph Campbell, and Arthur Firstenberg, and David McGowan, and Ted (‘unabomber’) Kaczynski– I kind of don’t really want to read them - I’d sooner go back to my first love – fiction, mainly classic literature. Re-read old favourites, and fill in the gaps with the (many) things I always wanted/intended, but never managed, to read. As for this substack, I’ll probably keep it going until the platform inevitably gets shut down by our fascist, police-state government. I might do what I was originally planning to do when I started it, but then never got around to doing – which was go through my archives since March 2020. There was no doubt an element of wilfulness in not getting around to it - because I don’t really want to be reminded of all those horrible details (I already know that my mind conveniently erases unpleasant events for me, so I have to deliberately resurrect them, if I actually for any reason want to look at them ) – and I certainly don’t want to be reminded of the brainwashed normie I was back in March 2020.
So although I’m far from free yet, here is a foretaste:
From the archives – part 1:

Because I periodically lose hard-drives or drop them, sit on them, or step on them, there are gaps in my life’s archives, (well- since about 2006, when they went over from paper to digital form) and this one doesn’t start until 8th March 2020 (from which point it should be- I think, although I haven’t checked- continuous up to the present) . I had spent Christmas 2019 visiting my brother, in California, - and from what I can remember (I hate relying on memory, it’s too unreliable – not only omitting important details, but even giving a false ‘broad-brush’ picture) is that just before I was due to come home, in early January 2020, the ‘drama’ being put out by the propaganda machine concerned the Orange Man Bad having had some Iranian general assassinated, and thereby -we were led to believe- risking the outbreak of WW III, - while the rumours of some ‘new disease’ in Wuhan, China (interesting to me, because I once spent 4 months there) were relatively backgrounded to this event; I remember when I went to the airport to come home there were some masked Chinese people boarding the plane, and I slightly uneasily wondered whether they might ‘have that new disease.’ In the 2 months which followed, but which are missing from my archive, I remember watching some series of vlogs put up by Channel 4 from a British guy living in Wuhan – he would go to the supermarket in full hazmat gear with gas mask – who eventually was flown back to England with other ‘ex-patriates’in China and taken to a ‘quarantine camp.’ I also followed the ‘Diamond Princess’ (also on Channel 4 I think)
So here are the archives, with my gloss from today. And the very first comment which I saved on 8th March 2020, (which interestingly while not quite saying ‘it’s all bollocks’ , at least appears to be calling for some moderation of the hysteria)
– I think these comments must have been from ‘The Spectator’ (I didn’t bother acknowledging my sources, so memory again) :
The case fatality rate was far higher in overwhelmed Wuhan than in cases outside of the immediate disaster zone, and even lower outside China itself. In Wuhan the virus totally overwhelmed an already fragile health care system. That produced an unknown number of excess deaths not caused by the virus itself but by the lack of hospital beds, resources, or ambulances to deal with other health issues. Also Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province, an area in which lung cancer and emphysema/COPD are significantly higher than national averages in China, a country where half of all men smoke. The overall Coronavirus case fatality rate (CFR) varies from 5.8% in Wuhan to 0.7% in other areas in China. Compare that 0.7% CFR to SARS’s 9.38% CFR or to MERS’s 35% CFR.
Dr. Jeremy Samuel Faust MD MS MA (Emergency physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School) wrote that there are many compelling reasons to conclude that SARS-CoV-2 isn’t nearly as deadly as mainstream media and officialdom suggest. Aboard the Diamond Princess (the quarantined cruise ship made an unintentional yet ideal ‘laboratory’ to study the virus), only 1 person boarded with the virus, all other passengers were healthy enough to travel. Out of 3,711 on board, 705 caught the coronavirus. More than half of these 705 didn’t show any symptoms or signs of illness, 6 people died which makes the death rate 0.85%. Not a single death among passengers was under 70, showing the rate is lower still in younger cases. Compare that 0.85% CFR to SARS’s 9.38% CFR or to MERS’s 35% CFR. President Trump is absolutely right in calling out those who seem to delight (and -cui bono- profit from) in making out that it is a threat to grave threat to civilisation.
An odd mix in the next one of calling out the hysteria, while at the same time calling for grossly authoritarian measures:
It's not only that working out the death rate leaves out those who have contracted the mild form of the bug, it's also that some of the deaths may be of people who would have died anyway because their health was compromised for reasons other than the coronavirus.
It truly beggars belief to watch how those in power and their MSM poodles are doing their utmost to whip up panic, compel us to begin stocking up on essentials, talk is if the whole of mankind were to die out next week.
Taking precautions is one thing, telling us each day that massive numbers will drop dead is another. What should have been done is checking all passengers at ports of arrivals as the Russians do, segregating those with temperatures, insisting on isolations for two weeks with severe penalty for breaking it, a year in prison if someone ordered to stay put disobeys it and infects another person, five years if the infected person dies. This may seem harsh but the result so far speaks for itself, only 11 tested positive in Russia, two have already recovered. Amongst the big countries Russia's doing far better than any other.
And this one is interesting, because I think it shows how the ‘marks’ of the propaganda will generate it themselves (I think Jacques Ellul wrote about it in his book – Jacques Ellul: one of many names I’d never even heard of back then) – all you have to do is sow the seeds, and they will take it from there and run with it :

There is some evidence that the virus mutated quite early on into a less virulent strain, and that the more virulent strain is actually dying out as it's in the interest of the virus to spread, not to kill. That would explain the higher number of deaths in Wuhan, as the more virulent strain was doing the rounds, and the lower numbers of deaths elsewhere.
Yeh, except that the media hadn’t lost its mind, Thomas. It knew what it was doing. ( I wonder where you are now, and how your thinking has evolved, 4.5 years later ) - and interesting to recall now how Trump’s posture in those early days was ‘it’s all bollocks’ - which perhaps was only to set up the Orange Man Bad character which he plays in this pantomime as being on the side of those irresponsible Granny killers – perhaps to smear and discredit them:
This entire headless chicken, coronavirus hysteria proves that we live in a world fuelled by fear and chaos created by a media that has lost its mind. Trump will be proved right. The chaos merchants are having a field day, and the public are catching their madness, which is far more frightening than covid-19.
Yeh, isn’t it just, Thomas, isn’t it just.
And yes, all the stupid new language that came in with this crap- pseudo-scientific, technocratic:
Self isolate.
Until recently, known as staying at home.
There were always those who would not consider themselves, or be considered as, ‘the awake’ or ‘truthers’ or ‘down the rabbit holes’ yet who are not so easily brainwashed and hoodwinked – they know it when they are being cynically lied to – even if they might not know exactly what the scam is about:
What is the actual percentage of population worldwide. Why is Italy hit worse than any other European country. Which European country will be next. If they are ante EU it might go further to answering who is behind this scaremongering. Personally I do not think we are in crisis or pandemic. What I do think is we are in the middle of a panic created by those who for some reason want to create a recession. Look behind the panic and look at those people who would benefit most by creating recession. It is no coincidence that so many scare stories are being leashed on the public in unison. Boris needs to take note of Mr Trump’s logical arguments
Some msm shite, (again -I didn’t acknowledge the source ) – the Oxford student story:– look at how they build the narrative, and keep stoking it up in order to keep it it going, by the constant insertion, day after day, of millions of these little seemingly-unimportant- in- themselves details – juxtaposed interestingly here in this ‘report’ with one of the pivotal moments in the psyop, then taking place- the lockdowns in Italy:
A student at the University of Oxford has tested positive for coronavirus after returning home from an unspecified country, a statement on the University's website reveals.
The affected student reportedly did not attend any university or college events before self-isolating and Public Health England has told the University that the risk to other students and staff is very low.
Meanwhile, more than 16 million people were placed under forced quarantine in northern Italy early Sunday as the government approved drastic measures in an attempt to halt the spread of the deadly coronavirus that is sweeping the globe.
Remember this?- the emptying out of the supermarkets as the psyop kicked off? All those toilet roll memes – WTF was that all about?

Supermarkets have begun rationing food as a result of coronavirus panic buying.
Tesco is limiting the amount of baked beans, dry pasta and UHT milk its customers can buy to ensure they have enough supply, as its shelves were emptied across Britain.
On Saturday the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Britain rose to 206, with scientists warning diagnoses are doubling every other day. On its current trajectory, experts fear the UK could breach 1,500 by the end of the week.
Supermarkets have been forced to act after their shelves were plundered again on Saturday, with customers reporting shortages of ready meals, toilet roll and paracetamol.
Tesco took the decision to limit some food and drink to five items per customer, in addition to antibacterial gels, wipes and sprays.
A spokesman confirmed the restrictions, which will also limit the amount of Calpol people can purchase, began on Saturday, and will apply to online shopping orders from Sunday.
The Government is also expected to announce plans to alert supermarkets before the general public if they are in coronavirus hotspots, to help avoid empty aisles.
Retailers have reassured ministers they have robust plans in place to minimise disruption and are continuing to monitor their supply chains.
Sainsbury's and Asda have also seen their aisles stripped bare of soap and toilet paper, while online hand sanitiser products were selling for more than 5,000 per cent of their recommended retail price online, with bottles worth 49p going for £24.99. Further trends of panic buying include sugar, flour, eggs, rice, vitamins, cold and flu tablets, and cleaning products.
The Environment Secretary will meet with retailers on Monday to discuss support for vulnerable groups who may be in isolation and any other areas where government can offer support.
First mention of that bastard, ‘the chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance’ - ‘the Chief high priest’ together with some other high priestess, whose name no longer rings any bells for me now. Oh, and we have a precursor to the lockdown: - the cancellation of a marmalade festival in Cumbria, ‘expected to attract thousands of international visitors’ - Is that one of their ridiculous details that they like to drop into their stories, just for a laugh?
Pharmaceuticals have also experienced a rush Credit: PA
Another 43 coronavirus cases were confirmed throughout the UK on Saturday raising the total to 206 - a near doubling of the 115 cases confirmed on Thursday.
Prof Sheila Bird, formerly programme leader at the MRC Biostatistics Unit, University of Cambridge, said that the UK's cumulative total "is currently doubling roughly every two days".
If that continues the number of confirmed infections in the UK could hit 412 by Monday and continue to skyrocket. By next Friday some 1,600 people could have the virus and by Tuesday March 17 the figure could be as many as 6,592.
She called for health officials to provide more information on the pattern of the outbreak as a way of providing clues as to which groups in the population were most affected.
Saturday's rise came after the chief scientific adviser confirmed the infection was now spreading person to person as part of an outbreak in Britain, having been initially limited to infections brought in from abroad.
Sir Patrick Vallance said on Friday: “This is the start of an outbreak clearly. We are in the position now where we have got person-to-person transmission of this in the UK and therefore we can expect more cases.”
Already two people have died from the virus in Britain, a grandfather in his 80s in Milton Keynes and a woman in her 70s in Reading.
Last night, the family of the grandfather described the "nightmare" of having to self-isolate themselves, unable to grieve as they would wish or to arrange a funeral.
They said he died at Milton Keynes Hospital shortly after being advised on Thursday evening that he had tested positive but said the cause of death had not been confirmed.
Five of the new cases were in the East of England, while Cornwall had its second confirmed case - a resident linked to the first case who had also travelled to Northern Italy.
A school in Chatham, Kent, has shut after two pupils contracted coronavirus. St John Fisher School told parents buildings would be deep cleaned this week following confirmation of the two cases.
The crisis also forced the cancellation of a marmalade festival in Dalemain, Cumbria, which was expected to attract thousands of international visitors. Jane Hasell-McCosh, the festival’s founder, said it had been an "extraordinarily difficult decision to make".
Yeh, here’s one retrieved from the memory-hole for the ‘Putin gonna save us’ crowd – the Russian regime was fully on board with this globalist psyop:

Moscow residents face prison if they fail to self-isolate
Moscow city authorities threatened prison terms of up to five years on Sunday for people failing to self-isolate in their homes for two weeks after visiting countries hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.
The city government had announced a "high alert regime" and imposed extra measures on Thursday to prevent a spread of the illness in the Russian capital.
Those who return from China, South Korea, Iran, France, Germany, Italy and Spain and other states showing possible "unfavourable" signs of coronavirus should self-isolate themselves at home for 14 days, Moscow city hall has said.
The Moscow healthcare department said on Sunday that those disregarding the regulation risked severe punishment including imprisonment of up to five years.
There have been 15 cases of coronavirus infections reported in Russia so far.
100,000 deaths! This paltry number was supposed to make us shit ourselves! What are the ‘excess mortality’ figures post-2021? (I have no idea, not being a left-brained type who likes to count everything, but I’ll bet it’s a lot more than 100 fucking thousand) An example of the propaganda machine’s game of ‘Simon says’ - ‘Simon says there’s a cold going around. Be very afraid of it’ vs ‘simon says there are turbo cancers, blood clots, heart attacks, strokes happening in large numbers to younger and younger people. Nothing to see here, carry on as normal’
Incidentally, I wonder why the assholes pulled this shit in spring – ie, the end of the respiratory disease season. Probably because spring is when they do all their satanic shit, and anyway, they knew the morons wouldn’t ask any questions, so why worry?
100,000 UK deaths a 'worst case scenario'
The chair of the Royal College of GPs also said projected figures of coronavirus leading to 100,000 deaths in Britain were a "worst case scenario" rather than a certainty.
Speaking on Sky's Sophy Ridge on Sunday, Professor Martin Marshall said:
"It is difficult because we don't know what the scale of the emergency will be and at the moment some of the figures we are seeing is the worst possible scenario, and we are right to plan for those.
"It is very difficult to tell, we know that about 17,000 people a year die of flu so we know these kind of viruses can be very serious - 100,000 is probably more like a worst case scenario, I expect."
further 64 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, taking the total case count up to 273, new figures released by the Department of Health and Social Care reveal.
It comes as 23,513 people have been tested across the country. So far, only two people have died from the disease in the UK.
More as it comes.
Another of those ‘little details’ that cement the narrative in our consciousness– we are supposed to picture all those cops, trapped at work, unable to go home, because of their ‘exposure to the deadly virus’ :
Paris police station in lockdown
A Paris police station is in lockdown, with a detainee suspected of having coronavirus. A police officer in the town of Briançon, in the Alps, and other members of staff have tested positive.
Number of cases in France has nearly doubled this weekend to 949, with 16 dead, with case counts expected to exceed 1,000 today.
Meanwhile the French finance minister has declared a state of economic emergency because of the coronavirus and the government is working on plans to help businesses, with financial support for those worst affected. Ministers are to meet CEOs tomorrow to assess the impact in different sectors.
The virus has reached every region of France and three overseas territories in the Caribbean and South America.
French hospitals are preparing emergency measures and may call in retired doctors and medical students to help treat patients if the number of cases continues to escalate.
